Hello everyone. My name is Bella, and I am from a high kill shelter in Southern CA. I was turned in by my owners because they were moving, which is, by the way, the number one reason for people giving up their pets. So I just want to know how many other family members were left behind because of this move. I’m guessing none of the two legged variety, but that’s ok because I am better off where I am than where I was. I was an outdoor dog, and I don’t want to be that again. I know they didn’t dump me because of my looks since, as you can see, I am quite the “looker”. I am a beautiful fawn brushcoat girl and I think I can get along with most dogs. I am very gentle and laid back and like attention. I am willing to try again to become part of someone’s family, but I really want to be part of the family this time-not banished to the back yard. It is what I want for myself and what my foster parents want for me, and none of us will settle for less!

Mickey was adopted by Becky Swanson and is living in Washington State.
Hi all. My name is Mickey. I was abandoned in a park near Sacramento, CA, and followed a family home. Fortunately for me, this was a dog friendly family and also involved with rescue. They contacted the folks in Redding to see if there was room for me, and boy did I get lucky-they agreed to take me! I have been here for a little while now, and as nice as it is here, I really want a home of my own. I would like a family with kids to keep me company. I lack some training, but it’s nothing a little time and love wouldn’t take care of. I guess my former owner really didn’t care about me too much. They didn’t even take care of my eyes, but the surgery has now been done as well as some other surgery they did while I was out cold. I’m not sure what happened, but I came back missing some parts! I don’t mind, I’m just happy to be here with the rest of my cousins, and one day that right family will come along and make all my dreams come true!
