Skye
|
Skye was adopted by the McCombs family in the Sacramento area. She now has a new Pei-Boxer brother-Max.
Hello, my name is Skye. I know you can’t really tell from this photo, but I am a blue horsecoat girl about 10 months old. I came from a shelter in Reno, NV. I am quite shy at first and would prefer a quiet household. If there are kids, they probably should be older so that they will respect my need for time to get to know you. I am crosseyed, but that that is just one endearing quality about me. My coat is beautiful, and I really don’t know what is wrong with me that I ended up in a shelter at all. We all have our quirks-I know you all do too. I just need someone who is willing to give the time I need to learn to trust you, and I could be your new best friend. Believe me when I tell you it will be time well spent.

Suzie
|
Suzie's Foster Home has become her Forever Home.
Suzie's Story: "March 20, 2004 - Suzie was first sighted running down a busy street in Folsom, eventually making her way to a new subdivision where the neighborhood took care of her. She spent her first few nights sleeping on the concrete slab of a partially finished home but was eventually coaxed into someone’s garage for the night. Although Suzie seemed to have some separation issues at previous foster homes, her current foster mom says she is doing great in that regard and getting along with the rest of the dogs in her home. Suzie is sweet, affectionate and very intelligent. She even yodels along with Rich on cue! She loves attention and would love a home where she would get a lot of it. If you are interested in adopting Suzie, please get in touch and Suzie's foster mom would be happy to talk to you and answer any questions you might have. Suzie just needs a chance to prove how good she can be. " |

Lexi
|
Sassi and Lexi were adopted by Jim and Rose Murphy in Southern CA.
My name is Lexi, and I came to the rescue with my sister, Sassi. We are from Santa Maria, CA. We were turned into the shelter because our previous owner found himself a younger girlfriend, and that left him no time for us. By the time you read this, that sweet young thing will probably have moved on, and now he doesn’t even have us to comfort him. Not that he deserves anything from us. We were left in the backyard by ourselves, and that is no way for us to live. We are only about two years old and really are bonded to each other so we don’t want to be separated, and our foster parents have assured us that won’t happen. We are both black horsecoats. Lexi is a little smaller than I am, but you can definitely see the resemblance between the two of us. I am doing the talking for both of us because my sister just doesn’t have a very long attention span unless it comes to getting attention, and then she will allow you to love her until YOU get tired. She is a very busy little girl with a great heart, but that runs in the family! Her picture is not the best, but she just didn’t want to hold still to get a proper photo taken. Anyway, if you have a heart and home big enough for two loving girls, please consider making us a part of your family.

Gootoo
|
Gootoo is staying at his forever home in Redding, CA - - - - Happy New Years 2010!
Hi folks. My name is Gootoo. You might wonder what kind of name that is, I did too. It turns out that I really resemble my foster dad’s dog, Magoo. I really do look quite a bit like Magoo, but I am my own person. I realize that I am not 100% Pei, but that does not mean that I deserve a loving home any less my pure friends here. It also does not mean that I have any less love to give back to the family who decides that pure doesn’t mean perfect. I know there are those of you out there who really want a purebred Pei, and I respect that, but for those of you who may not care about all that, I may be the guy for you. I am a young boy and I am very friendly to everyone with beautiful green eyes. I really don’t know what my other “half” is, and quite frankly don’t care. All that matters is that I am a good boy with a desire to please, and I’d really like to make you happy if you will give me that chance.
Thanks for reading this, and don’t you like our new “toy” here at the rescue-that red fire hydrant. They think of everything here!

In fond memory of Angelo Juliano, who truly opened his heart to so many 4 legged friends. Though he has been gone a year now, a part of his gentle, loving, generous soul will remain with us always. No doubt he is planting trees in heaven, with Tina by his side. Angelo, you will be forever in our hearts.

This is given in memory of my seven Sharpeis and Gail Cressman's many Sharpeis from the House of Gold. This money is left over from our own Sharpei Club, which disbanded several years ago. She asked me to send it to you for your use. |
